Meta Award

Meta Award

Meta Award is a specialized recognition category within the A' Design Award & Competition that celebrates outstanding achievements in meta design, strategic design, and service design disciplines. This comprehensive award category acknowledges innovative approaches that transcend traditional design boundaries, focusing on the systematic and methodological aspects of design thinking and implementation. The category evaluates entries based on their ability to create frameworks, methodologies, and strategic solutions that enhance the overall design process and its outcomes. Participants in this category typically present work that demonstrates sophisticated understanding of design systems, service blueprints, strategic frameworks, and organizational design methodologies. The evaluation criteria emphasize the scalability, adaptability, and long-term impact of the proposed solutions, particularly considering how they contribute to improving design processes, user experiences, and organizational effectiveness. The category recognizes that meta-level design thinking is crucial for addressing complex challenges in contemporary design practice, where traditional product-focused approaches may be insufficient. Winners in this category often showcase innovative approaches to design management, service ecology mapping, and strategic planning that can be applied across various design disciplines. The award acknowledges the growing importance of meta-design in shaping how design is conceived, implemented, and evaluated in professional practice, particularly as organizations increasingly recognize the value of design thinking in solving complex business and social challenges.
