Met Put Business Card

Met Put Business Card

Met Put business card is an innovative art installation and stationery design that reimagines the conventional business card holder through a sophisticated interplay of curved glass elements. Created in 2017, this artistic piece transforms the mundane act of business card presentation into a meaningful expression of human connection and professional interaction. The design consists of precisely laser-cut glass components, featuring a crossbeam and support plate that work in harmony to create an elegant display measuring 230 x 102 x 128 millimeters and weighing 530 grams. The distinctive curved formation allows business cards to disperse naturally, eliminating the common problem of card overlap while creating an engaging visual metaphor for the serendipitous nature of professional encounters. The transparent glass construction serves both functional and symbolic purposes, representing the purity of communication while facilitating seamless interaction between the holder and the displayed cards. This thoughtful approach to business card presentation, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Art and Stationery Supplies Design category, challenges traditional display methods by incorporating emotional resonance into what is typically a purely utilitarian object. The design's assembly process involves an intuitive jigsaw-like construction, demonstrating consideration for user experience from installation to daily use. Through its marriage of functional innovation and artistic expression, this design elevates the simple act of exchanging business cards into a meaningful ritual that reflects the importance of professional relationships and first impressions.
