Meow - The Cat Nutrition For Stray Cats Cat Nutrition

Meow - The Cat Nutrition for Stray Cats Cat Nutrition is an innovative packaging design solution created to address the nutritional needs of stray cats in urban environments, combining both food and water compartments in a single, practical unit. Developed by industrial designer Bahar Bostancı and art director Evrim Uvacin Isik, this humanitarian design concept emerged from the observation of numerous stray cats in Turkish cities and the challenges faced by animal caregivers in providing both sustenance and hydration. The packaging, measuring 16.5 x 14.5 x 4.5 centimeters, features a distinctive happy cat icon that serves both functional and aesthetic purposes, incorporating a dual-compartment system manufactured through form-fill-seal methodology and vacuum forming techniques. The design's innovative approach lies in its two-partition container system, separately sealed with aluminum foils, enabling users to provide both fresh water and cat food simultaneously. This practical solution addresses a critical gap in the market for specialized street animal care products, offering a portable and convenient option for animal welfare advocates and compassionate citizens. The design, which received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design Category, represents a significant advancement in addressing the welfare of stray animals through thoughtful design intervention. The product's versatility extends beyond its primary focus on cats, as it can be adapted for other street animals such as birds or dogs, demonstrating its potential for broader impact in urban animal care.
