Memory Growth Lounge Chair is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies the intersection of nostalgia and contemporary comfort, created by designers Yunyun Chen, Pingan Xue, and Youjin Song. This distinguished piece, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2022, represents a thoughtful reimagining of traditional Chinese seating furniture, particularly drawing inspiration from classic backrest chairs of the 1980s. The design features a sophisticated construction utilizing rounded pipe bending and precise welding techniques, with dimensions of 900mm in width, 780mm in depth, and 850mm in height. The chair's structural integrity is enhanced through carefully engineered welding points that undergo meticulous cutting, full welding, and polishing processes. The seating experience is elevated through the integration of styling cotton and wooden board components in both the cushion and backrest areas, which are secured to the main frame via screws. This innovative approach not only ensures optimal comfort but also maintains aesthetic appeal through clean, flowing lines and contemporary color schemes.
