Mellifluous Chapter Residence

Mellifluous Chapter Residence

Mellifluous Chapter Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of American countryside aesthetics with modern industrial elements, completed in February 2022 in Taiwan. This 180-square-meter apartment, situated on the ninth floor, encompasses four bedrooms, a living area, dining space, and two bathrooms, demonstrating sophisticated spatial planning and acoustic considerations. The design philosophy centers on creating a tranquil and comfortable environment through the thoughtful integration of dark tones, natural materials, and minimalist furniture. The space features distinctive elements such as a suspended TV wall design that reduces psychological pressure, and a raised study room floor for enhanced sound insulation. Notable material selections include architectural concrete, etched tiles, ironwork, and natural wood textures, all carefully curated to establish a stable yet warm atmosphere. The open-plan layout seamlessly connects the living areas, while the innovative combination of the dining table with the kitchen island creates a versatile space for various activities. The project, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional attention to technical challenges, particularly in material integration and acoustic engineering. The design successfully addresses the client's requirements for a technology industry professional's family home, incorporating sound insulation solutions and creating spaces conducive to relaxation for children under academic pressure.
