Created by designers Giacomo Stefanelli and Barbara Cesura, this sophisticated packaging identity draws inspiration from the iconic Giara horses, among the last wild equines in Europe, to symbolize the dualistic nature of two traditional Sardinian wines - Cannonau and Vermentino. The design concept masterfully interprets the meaning behind the wine names 'Masedu' (tamed) and 'Arestìdu' (wild) in the Sardinian language, expressing these contrasting characteristics through carefully crafted horse illustrations that embody the complex character of both the wines and their terroir. The packaging employs premium white paper with water-resistant properties, enhanced by elegant hot foil applications using Kurz gold 180 for the wine names, creating a tactile and visually striking presentation.
