Marcello Dining Table
Marcello Dining Table is an innovative dining furniture design that exemplifies contemporary Belgian craftsmanship and engineering excellence, distinguished by its uniquely engineered frame and sophisticated aesthetic appeal. This meticulously crafted dining table features an exceptionally thin 1-centimeter leg profile while maintaining remarkable structural integrity, capable of supporting spans up to 3 meters in length, even with substantial stone tabletops. The design's distinctive characteristic lies in its seamlessly integrated quarter-round edge finish, which creates an ergonomic transition between the frame and tabletop, offering enhanced comfort for users' wrists and forearms during dining experiences. The table's construction showcases advanced material engineering, utilizing forged frames crafted from bent and laser-cut steel sheets, available in four distinct metal variations including stainless steel and Corten steel, complemented by a selection of 67 powder coating color options. The tabletop options demonstrate material versatility, featuring carefully curated selections of marble, granite, quartzite, or European Oak, with specific combinations engineered for both indoor and outdoor applications. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2020, represents a significant innovation in addressing the limitations of traditional marble slab lengths while maintaining aesthetic excellence. Its development involved extensive research and prototyping to achieve optimal stability while preserving its minimalist profile, resulting in a dining table that harmoniously combines functional durability with refined aesthetics. The design's inspiration draws from the iconic Marcelleke sleeveless shirt, named after boxing champion Marcel Cerdan, reflecting a similar combination of strength and elegance in its structural composition.
