Maha Dining Chair

Maha Dining Chair

Maha Dining Chair is an elegant and sophisticated furniture piece designed by Lodovico Bernardi, exemplifying a harmonious blend of Scandinavian aesthetics and contemporary comfort. Distinguished by its delicate lines and comfortable volumes, this dining chair represents a thoughtful exploration of curved elements that seamlessly integrate to create a cocooning seat and backrest configuration. The design's most notable feature is its innovative wooden tongue detail that artfully joins the seat and backrest elements on the rear, demonstrating exceptional attention to craftsmanship and structural integrity. With precise dimensions of W489*D547*H798 millimeters and a seat height of 464 millimeters, the chair achieves an optimal balance between form and function, suitable for both residential and hospitality environments. Developed between August 2019 and February 2020, this versatile seating solution is available in versions with and without armrests, offering flexibility in application while maintaining its distinctive aesthetic character. The design philosophy emphasizes creating welcoming spaces through simple lines and the thoughtful combination of wood and fabric materials, fostering a warm and cozy atmosphere that aligns with contemporary Nordic design principles. The chair's generous proportions and ergonomic considerations make it particularly well-suited for extended periods of comfortable seating, while its clean silhouette ensures visual lightness and adaptability to various interior settings. This exceptional design achievement was recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2021, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to contemporary furniture design through its innovative approach to comfort, aesthetics, and functionality.
