Magnificence Residence
Magnificence Residence is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully demonstrates the harmonious integration of luxurious materials and thoughtful spatial planning within a 234-square-meter living space. Completed in December 2021, this sophisticated dwelling was meticulously crafted by designer Ghih Hsiang Cheng to accommodate a couple, their housekeeper, and a cat, transforming a four-bedroom layout into a more spacious three-bedroom configuration that prioritizes functionality and aesthetic excellence. The design's distinctive features include an innovative combination of stone grain flooring, implemented through a meticulous cross-nail tiling method, dark wood grain elements, beige wallpaper, and titanium-plated strips that create a refined atmosphere throughout the space. The residence's architectural narrative unfolds through a carefully orchestrated progression from public to private spaces, beginning with a magnificent entryway that incorporates a geomantically appropriate screen structure composed of dual stone elements and a round ceiling detail that masterfully mitigates visual pressure. The living and dining areas showcase an open-concept design while maintaining distinct atmospheric qualities through material variation, with the private quarters connected via a softly wallpapered corridor. The master bedroom suite represents a particular triumph of spatial planning, featuring an L-shaped configuration that seamlessly integrates sleeping quarters, a dressing table, and a boutique-inspired changing room enhanced by strategic lighting and reflective surfaces. This exceptional project, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies superior interior architecture through its thoughtful resolution of spatial challenges, innovative material applications, and careful attention to both aesthetic and functional requirements.
