Mac Station Store is an innovative retail space design that exemplifies the successful transformation of a confectionery shop into a contemporary computer store, demonstrating excellence in space optimization and material utilization. This 23-square-meter interior design project, created by architect Odyssey Babasadeghian, showcases a masterful balance between functionality and aesthetics through its minimalist approach. The design's distinctive feature lies in its extensive use of exposed cement surfaces, which serves both practical and aesthetic purposes, creating a modern industrial atmosphere while significantly reducing construction time and costs. The space is characterized by five vertical panels that ingeniously function as both shelving units and shading elements, each finished in different vibrant colors that create a striking contrast against the monochromatic cement backdrop. The design solution effectively addresses multiple challenges including spatial constraints, budget limitations, and time restrictions while maintaining a strong visual identity. Standing 4.5 meters in height and featuring three large windows on three sides, the store maximizes natural lighting and creates an open atmosphere. The interior's thoughtful organization includes a small balcony utilizing the vertical space, and multifunctional furniture pieces with integrated storage solutions. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category represents a successful marriage of practical retail requirements with contemporary design sensibilities, demonstrating how strategic material choices and space planning can transform spatial limitations into design opportunities.
