LOTUS Bathroom Set
LOTUS Bathroom Set is an innovative bathroom furniture collection that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of nature-inspired design and advanced functionality in contemporary sanitaryware. Designed by Tolga BERKAY, this sophisticated bathroom ensemble draws its inspiration from the sacred lotus flower (Nelumbu Nucifera), particularly mimicking the flower's remarkable dirt-repelling properties and elegant form. The collection, which earned the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in the Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design category, comprises meticulously crafted components including a monoblock washbasin, counter-top washbasin, WC pan with monoblock cistern, and an acrylic bathtub. Each piece features distinctive wave-like contours and free-standing designs that create an illusion of elements emerging from water, much like lotus flowers in their natural habitat. The series incorporates advanced surface coating technology that replicates the lotus leaf's natural water and dirt-repelling characteristics, demonstrating a successful application of biomimicry in industrial design. The monoblock basin, measuring 600 x 450 x 850 mm, showcases innovative engineering solutions with its specially developed floor-mounting system, while the close-coupled WC unit features a uniquely designed wavy seat that seamlessly integrates with the overall aesthetic. The bathtub, measuring 1900 x 1000 x 600 mm, combines ergonomic interior design with exterior styling that cleverly conceals joining components without compromising the collection's cohesive visual identity. The entire ensemble is manufactured using high-quality materials, with ceramic sanitaryware components crafted from vitreous china or fine fire clay, and the bathtub produced in durable acrylic. This bathroom set represents a significant achievement in bathroom furniture design, successfully balancing aesthetic sophistication with practical functionality while incorporating innovative production methods and assembly solutions.
