Longyin Shanfang Catering Space is an exemplary contemporary Chinese restaurant design that masterfully integrates traditional Oriental aesthetics with modern architectural sensibilities, situated in Nanjing, China. This innovative 800-square-meter interior space, completed in February 2022, represents a sophisticated interpretation of Chinese landscape culture through its distinctive three-distance layout incorporating trees, stones, forests, springs, mountains, clouds, and pavilions. The design philosophy centers on creating a harmonious dialogue between natural elements and urban dining experiences, utilizing natural raw materials such as water, stone, soil, and bamboo, complemented by advanced technological features including holographic laser projections and video installations that create immersive landscape experiences. The space is conceptually organized across eight dimensional elements - path, pavilion, corridor, valley, hall, landscape, and name - each carefully crafted to convey the essence of Oriental elegance and aesthetics. The design's exceptional merit in blending traditional Huaiyang cuisine with contemporary spatial design was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to creating a multisensory dining environment that serves as both a culinary destination and a contemplative retreat from urban life.
