Longhu Hotel Design is an innovative architectural and interior design concept that seamlessly integrates traditional Chinese mythology with contemporary hospitality design principles. Located in central China, this large-scale hotel project encompasses 452 rooms across 9 floors, with a total building area of 58,375 square meters, featuring a striking 26.8-meter high atrium in its lobby. The design, conceived by renowned designer Fei Hu and recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, draws profound inspiration from the mythological symbolism of the dragon and phoenix in Chinese culture. The exterior architecture mimics the form of a Jade dragon, while the interior spaces incorporate sophisticated design elements that abstract these traditional motifs into modern architectural language. The hotel's distinctive features include curved beige marble walls and copper panels that symbolize the dragon's flying posture, complemented by a crystal chandelier that abstractly represents a phoenix. The innovative use of ultra-thin 2mm marble slabs demonstrates a practical approach to construction efficiency while maintaining aesthetic excellence. The space planning accommodates various functional areas, including a 650m² lobby, 1800m² ballroom, and 720m² all-day restaurant, all designed to create an organic flow that reflects the harmony between traditional cultural elements and contemporary design requirements. The project, which commenced design in March 2022 and is scheduled for completion in 2025, represents a significant achievement in hospitality design, particularly in its solution to the challenge of humanizing large-scale spaces through cultural narrative and innovative material applications.
