Longboard Skateboard Wheels

Longboard Skateboard Wheels

Longboard skateboard wheels are an essential component of any longboard setup. These wheels are typically larger and softer than traditional skateboard wheels, allowing for a smoother ride and better grip on the road. They are made of polyurethane, a durable and long-lasting material that can withstand the wear and tear of regular use. The size of longboard skateboard wheels can vary, but they are generally between 60mm and 75mm in diameter. This larger size allows for better stability and control at higher speeds, making them ideal for downhill riding and cruising. The width of the wheel can also vary, with wider wheels providing more grip and stability. The durometer, or hardness, of longboard skateboard wheels is measured on a scale from 1 to 100. A lower number indicates a softer wheel, while a higher number indicates a harder wheel. Softer wheels are better for cruising and carving, as they provide a smoother ride and better grip on the road. Harder wheels are better for sliding and freeriding, as they allow for more controlled slides and less grip on the road. Longboard skateboard wheels can also come in a variety of shapes, including round, square, and conical. Each shape has its own unique benefits, with round wheels providing a more predictable slide and square wheels providing more grip. Overall, longboard skateboard wheels are an important component of any longboard setup, providing a smooth ride, better grip on the road, and improved control at higher speeds.
