Living In Europe Public Amenities
Living in Europe Public Amenities is an exemplary interior design project that masterfully reimagines classical European architectural elements within a contemporary residential context. Located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, this 314-square-meter public amenity space, completed in 2018 by designers Te-Yu Liu and Hui-Ching Chang, showcases a sophisticated integration of 18th-century European architectural motifs with modern functionality. The design's distinctive features include symmetrical exteriors adorned with traditional elements such as stone facades, columns, and arches, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The interior spaces comprise meticulously crafted areas including a luxurious lobby with marble walls and crystal chandeliers, an artistically conceived walkway with brown wooden textures and mirrors creating a temporal transition effect, and a multi-level public area that accommodates various resident facilities. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, featuring a sophisticated lounge decorated with Monet paintings, a magnificent reading room embellished with white marble and classical moldings, and exclusive amenities such as a gym and bar that are reserved for residents. The rectangular and symmetrical floor plan effectively combines classical design principles with contemporary functionality, creating a harmonious balance between aesthetic grandeur and practical utility.
