Living Haven Residential Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of functionality, playfulness, and sophisticated architectural elements in contemporary living spaces. Created by designers Nick Shen and Allen Chang, this duplex residence masterfully balances family-centric design principles with aesthetic refinement, featuring a distinctive architectural language that employs circular forms within square spaces to create a nurturing environment. The design's primary philosophy centers on constructing a living space that fosters familial bonds and creates lasting memories, particularly emphasizing child-friendly features while maintaining elegant design sensibilities. The layout strategically distributes spaces across two levels, with the lower floor accommodating communal areas including living, dining, kitchen, master bedroom, and a multi-purpose studio, while the upper level houses children's spaces including a playroom and bedrooms connected by an ingeniously repurposed hallway. Notable design elements include transparent glass sliding doors that maintain visual connectivity while allowing for individual activities, custom-designed safety features such as floor-to-ceiling tempered glass walls, and thoughtfully integrated elements like whiteboard panels and customized bayonet locks. The project showcases exceptional attention to detail through its consistent use of smooth curves throughout the space, from arched doorframes to rounded furniture edges, complemented by a sophisticated lighting scheme and a refined white and natural wood color palette. The design received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to residential interior design and its successful integration of safety, functionality, and aesthetic excellence.
