Lines Geometry Residential

Lines Geometry Residential

Lines Geometry Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of minimalist aesthetics with functional living spaces. Completed in August 2021 in Taiwan, this residential project, designed by Zong-Ying Chen, masterfully employs natural materials and geometric principles to create a tranquil urban sanctuary. The design philosophy centers on the interplay of straight and curved lines, utilizing white as the primary canvas complemented by gray and black accents, with strategic pops of red, yellow, and blue in custom furnishings. The space features innovative suspended elements, including vista shelves, cabinets, and bookshelves, which create an ethereal sense of lightness throughout the interior. Notable design elements include hand-painted eco-friendly plaster on the ceiling and walls, creating cloud-like textures that contribute to the space's serene atmosphere. The project's sophisticated approach to storage solutions incorporates box-like compartments seamlessly integrated into the overall design, while the dining area showcases a sculptural lighting fixture that serves as an artistic focal point against pristine white walls. The design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning and innovative material application. The project's distinctive features include dolomite brick with cloud-like textures, Mondrian-inspired bookcase designs, and a thoughtfully conceived lighting scheme that transitions from abundant natural light during the day to gentle artificial illumination at night.
