Light slit Office is an innovative architectural transformation project that reimagines a traditional courtyard space into a contemporary office environment, distinguished by its ingenious use of natural light and spatial design. The 115-square-meter single-floor space features a revolutionary 180-degree width lighting patio created through a strategic light slit in the building's structure, effectively breaking the conventional closed cement cage paradigm. This architectural intervention introduces abundant natural light into the workspace, establishing a profound connection between interior and exterior environments. The design incorporates cultural stone, clay tile, and stainless steel materials, while the outdoor space features cement grouting with embossed patterns simulating natural crack formations typically seen in post-harvest fallow fields, simultaneously enhancing surface friction. The project's philosophical underpinning lies in its ability to evoke nostalgic connections to traditional courtyards while embracing modern commercial needs, creating a dynamic environment where occupants can experience the natural progression of time through changing light patterns and shadow movements throughout the day. This harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary design elements earned the project a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its exceptional approach to spatial transformation and innovative lighting solutions.
