Light Of Rocks In Yehliu Show

Light of Rocks in Yehliu Show is an innovative public lighting exhibition and artistic installation that masterfully integrates advanced lighting technology with the natural geological formations of Taiwan's renowned Yehliu Geopark. This sophisticated lighting project, designed by Ivan Lee, represents a harmonious fusion of natural and artificial elements, featuring an intricate combination of projection mapping, laser displays, water screen projections, and strategic lighting design that transforms the park's distinctive rock formations into an immersive nocturnal spectacle. The exhibition particularly highlights the famous Queen's Head formation, a natural rock structure resembling the profile of British monarch Queen Elizabeth, complete with its characteristic slim neckline and elegant facial features. The installation demonstrates exceptional technical prowess in its ability to balance the tranquility of the natural environment with dynamic lighting elements, creating a respectful dialogue between the ancient geological formations and contemporary lighting technology. This groundbreaking project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Projects and Light Art Design category, showcases an innovative approach to environmental lighting design by incorporating multiple lighting techniques that work in harmony with the site's natural elements including rocks, wind, and tides. The installation's significance lies in its ability to enhance the visitor experience while maintaining the geological site's integrity, creating an unprecedented nighttime attraction that combines cultural, natural, and technological elements in a cohesive artistic expression.
