L’Hexagone Wall Decoration

L’Hexagone Wall Decoration

L'Hexagone Wall Decoration is an innovative wall covering system that revolutionizes traditional wallpaper application through its modular hexagonal design elements. Created in France and launched in 2016, this sophisticated wall decoration solution consists of 60 distinct graphic pieces, each measuring 17.5 x 20 centimeters, that can be arranged in countless configurations to create personalized wall compositions. The system employs pre-bonded wallpaper technology with water-based inks, emphasizing both environmental consciousness and ease of installation. Its design philosophy draws inspiration from modern art movements, including influences from Mondrian, and offers various aesthetic options from black and white to color-blocked variations. The hexagonal shape, symbolically referencing France's geographical outline, represents a thoughtful merger of cultural identity with contemporary interior design. Each piece is digitally printed using advanced production techniques that maintain high quality while enabling customization and small-batch production. The installation process has been carefully engineered to eliminate common wallpaper application challenges, allowing users to first create their desired composition, photograph it as a reference, and then apply each piece individually after brief immersion in tepid water. This Bronze A' Design Award winner in the Building Materials and Construction Components Design category exemplifies the successful integration of traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, offering a practical solution that democratizes wall decoration while maintaining professional-grade results. The system covers approximately 2.1 square meters per box and represents a significant advancement in wall decoration accessibility, combining artistic expression with functional simplicity.
