Lemon Squeezers
A lemon squeezer is a kitchen tool designed to extract juice from lemons and other citrus fruits. It typically consists of two handles that are connected by a hinge, with a concave, ridged surface on one end and a bowl-shaped receptacle on the other. To use a lemon squeezer, the user places a halved lemon in the receptacle, then squeezes the handles together, pressing the ridged surface into the lemon and extracting the juice. Lemon squeezers are commonly made from metal, such as stainless steel or aluminum, although plastic versions are also available. Some models may have additional features, such as a strainer to remove pulp and seeds from the juice, or a larger receptacle to accommodate larger fruits like oranges. While lemon squeezers are primarily used in cooking and baking, they can also be used to make lemonade and other citrus-based beverages. They are a popular tool in both professional kitchens and home kitchens, and are relatively easy to use and clean.
