Krishnanilaya Residential Apartment
Krishnanilaya Residential Apartment is a meticulously designed residential interior project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of rustic luxury and minimalist sophistication in contemporary living spaces. Located in Mumbai, India, this 100-square-meter apartment, completed in 2017, represents a thoughtful transformation of space guided by biophilic design principles and floral motifs. The two-bedroom residence, designed by architect Rahul Mistri, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its seamless integration of natural elements and modern amenities. The interior design scheme revolves around a distinctive floral theme that permeates throughout the space, creating a sophisticated atmosphere while maintaining functionality. The apartment features carefully curated materials including teakwood slats with melamine matt finish, engineered wooden flooring, and custom-designed furniture pieces that reflect a commitment to craftsmanship. Notable design elements include a significant Radha Krishna mural that serves as both an artistic centerpiece and a spiritual anchor, inspired by the festival of Holi's vibrant aesthetics. The living spaces are enhanced by advanced lighting solutions, including seamless POP lights and profile LED installations, while the kitchen is equipped with premium fixtures and appliances. This award-winning project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, showcases innovative space utilization through its thoughtful layout comprising a living room, compact kitchen, master bedroom, and children's room, each connected to private balconies that facilitate natural ventilation and daylight penetration. The design's success lies in its ability to create a tranquil urban sanctuary that effectively balances aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, while maintaining a strong connection to nature and cultural elements.
