Koinobori Toothpaste Toothpaste For Children

Koinobori Toothpaste Toothpaste For Children

Koinobori toothpaste Toothpaste For Children is an innovative pediatric oral care product that combines functional design with cultural symbolism, developed by designers JM Yu, J Wang, QY Zhou, GW Lyu, and QY Yu. This groundbreaking design, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Beauty, Personal Care and Cosmetic Products Design category, features a distinctive half-circle nozzle that addresses two common challenges children face when using toothpaste independently: excessive dispensing and proper application to the toothbrush. The design's unique nozzle configuration increases the contact area between the toothpaste and toothbrush while simultaneously controlling portion size, promoting proper fluoride intake for children's safety. Drawing inspiration from Japanese cultural heritage, the toothpaste tube's form echoes the traditional Koinobori (carp streamers) motif, symbolizing children's growth and independence in Japanese festivals. Manufactured using a combination of silica gel for the cap and plastic materials for the tube, the product measures 50mm in width and 80mm in depth, with a precisely engineered 1mm radius nozzle. This thoughtful fusion of practical functionality and cultural elements not only serves its primary purpose as a children's oral care product but also acts as a vehicle for preserving and promoting traditional cultural awareness in contemporary society, demonstrating how everyday products can bridge the gap between practical necessity and cultural preservation.
