Klix Advanta Vending Machine

Klix Advanta Vending Machine

Klix Advanta Vending Machine is an innovative beverage dispensing system that represents a significant advancement in vending machine design, combining modern aesthetics with sustainable functionality. Designed by Florian Seidl, this sophisticated appliance features a clean, contemporary design language expressed through its folded sheet metal cabinet and a distinctive front panel with a hybrid construction incorporating a metal frame, pressure-formed panels, and injection-molded inserts. The machine's most notable innovation lies in its patented in-cup technology, which eliminates cross-contamination by sealing ingredients in an eco-friendly cup made from sustainably sourced paper with a unique water-based barrier coating, marking a breakthrough as the first paper cup without polyethylene lining. Standing at 1836mm in height, 638mm in width, and 727mm in depth, this 153kg unit is engineered for optimal space efficiency while maintaining a commanding presence. The design emphasizes user accessibility through a centralized interaction zone featuring a large touch interface, while offering multiple payment options including cashless, contactless, and coin-based transactions. The machine's development, which took place in Turin, Italy, over a three-year period, focused on creating a perfect balance between efficiency and elegance, resulting in a design that has earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Office and Business Appliances Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing vending machine design standards and sustainable practices in the industry.
