Kirin Island Exhibition Center is a distinguished architectural masterpiece that serves as the inaugural phase of a Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Industrial Park, embodying a harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese philosophy and contemporary design principles. This Silver A' Design Award-winning structure, completed in 2021, masterfully integrates the ancient Chinese concept of round sky and square earth through its innovative square building design encompassing a circular courtyard, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere. The center spans a total land area of 7,234.47 square meters with a gross floor area of 3,920.01 square meters, rising to a height of 16.6 meters across three floors. Its revolutionary frame-shear wall structure features remarkable engineering achievements, including a north-south overhang of 10.3 meters and an impressive span of 18.6 meters between its central traffic cores, enabling pillar-less indoor spaces that maximize spatial flexibility. The building's design draws inspiration from regional cultural elements, particularly referencing the heritage of Confucius and Mencius, while incorporating modern architectural techniques to create a contemporary interpretation of traditional motifs. The structure's exterior features distinctive Kirin scales, paying homage to local mythology while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic that emphasizes material textures. The center's dual-purpose functionality allows it to serve initially as a planning exhibition and investment promotion facility, with the capability to transform into an integrated urban exhibition hall that harmoniously blends with surrounding public spaces, demonstrating exceptional adaptability in urban planning.
