Kimba Countryside Villa
Kimba Countryside Villa is an architecturally significant residential project completed in 2019 in Hashtgerd, Iran, that exemplifies a harmonious blend of modern design principles with traditional Iranian architectural elements. The 555-square-meter villa, designed by architect Arash Raeiszadeh and team, demonstrates a profound respect for natural surroundings and indigenous materials while incorporating innovative sustainable features. The structure, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, is distinguished by its thoughtful integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, utilizing natural ventilation patterns inspired by traditional Iranian windmills. The three-level villa comprises an underground floor housing recreational facilities including a pool, sauna, and entertainment area; a ground level featuring living spaces and guest accommodations; and an upper level with private quarters and terraces. Notable architectural elements include transparent bullet-proof glass roofing, moving louvers for privacy control, and varied level transitions that maximize roofing space while maintaining aesthetic simplicity. The design philosophy emphasizes sustainability through optimal natural light utilization, energy-efficient mechanical systems, and careful material selection suited to the local climate. The project successfully overcomes various technical challenges, including soil stability issues and complex structural requirements, through innovative engineering solutions utilizing steel structure and lightweight construction methods. The villa's design particularly stands out for its careful consideration of the client's lifestyle, including specific adaptations for pet accommodation, while maintaining a delicate balance between modern amenities and traditional architectural principles such as symmetry in Iranian gardening, the presence of water features, and distinctive brickwork patterns.
