K29 Folding Knife

K29 Folding Knife is an innovative folding pocket knife design that harmoniously combines steel and wood materials, exemplifying sophisticated craftsmanship and multifunctional utility. This precision-engineered tool, designed by Ridzert Ingenegeren, features a dynamic aesthetic characterized by flowing lines and curves, available in two distinct editions: the 'Titanium' variant featuring olive wood accents and grey finishing, and the 'Tiger' edition showcasing bocote wood with black components. The knife's sophisticated construction employs a layered architecture, with the handle incorporating volume-providing outer layers crucial for ergonomic grip security, connected to internal liners featuring tactical notches for enhanced cutting control. The design integrates multiple practical features including a foldable blade, glass breaker, belt cutter, lanyard hole, and belt clip, all secured by precisely engineered hex screws that facilitate part replacement and maintenance. When unfolded, the knife extends to 21 centimeters, while maintaining a compact 12.1-centimeter profile when folded. The design emphasizes the natural beauty of its wooden components, deliberately preserving their original appearance without additional colorization. The knife employs a Linerlock mechanism and can be operated with one hand using either the flipper or thumb stud. This exceptional design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Hardware, Power and Hand Tools Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to combining traditional materials with modern functionality. The development process, which commenced in September 2018, involved extensive prototyping and user testing to optimize both ergonomic performance and visual appeal, resulting in a distinctive product that successfully differentiates itself in the market through its unique material combination and form language.
