Köllen Tryk Hanger

Köllen Tryk Hanger

Köllen Tryk Hanger is an innovative interactive wall-mounted storage solution that revolutionizes traditional hanging systems through its dynamic and adaptable design. This sophisticated piece of furniture, crafted from high-quality wood materials, features a distinctive rectangular frame housing a series of flush circular buttons that transform into functional hanging elements through user interaction. The design employs a sophisticated push-mechanism system where cylindrical buttons, constructed from beech solid wood covered with wood plate, can transition between two states: flush with the surface or protruding as functional hooks. Available in two dimensions - 800 x 100 x 150 mm for the large unit and 400 x 100 x 150 mm for the small unit - this versatile system represents a significant advancement in furniture design by incorporating interactive elements typically associated with digital interfaces into everyday furniture. The design philosophy behind this piece draws inspiration from contemporary digital interaction patterns, translating touch-control functionality into a tangible, furniture-based application. Manufactured using precise CNC cutting techniques, the hanger system features a white lacquered wooden structure that provides a neutral backdrop for the interactive beech wood elements. This innovative approach to furniture design, which earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, exemplifies the intersection of traditional craftsmanship with modern interactive design principles, offering users the ability to create customized hanging configurations based on their specific needs while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic when not in use.
