The project, conceived by designers Bo Liu and Hank Xia, represents a harmonious blend of contemporary luxury and natural inspiration, drawing its narrative from the legendary Roc bird and the surrounding Jinhai Lake environment. The design philosophy manifests through undulating, curvilinear forms that echo the nearby East Sea's waves, incorporating natural materials such as wood and marble throughout the space. The property features 265 meticulously designed guestrooms and suites decorated in soothing shades of sable and blue, reflecting the coastal setting while maintaining modern aesthetics. The comprehensive facility includes 1,800 square meters of meeting space, a 900-square-meter grand banquet hall, three distinctive restaurants, and specialized amenities including a spa and executive lounge. The project, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in spatial planning, incorporating mindful design elements that promote guest wellness and environmental harmony. The design successfully overcomes significant challenges in balancing operational efficiency, maintenance considerations, and brand standards while coordinating complex technical requirements across multiple stakeholders. The project's strategic planning emphasizes efficient space utilization and creates engaging spatial sequences that enhance the guest experience through thoughtful application of perception theory and humanized design approaches, completed between November 2018 and May 2020.
