JinGoo Wireless Audio Light
JinGoo Wireless Audio Light is an innovative fusion of ambient lighting and audio technology that reimagines traditional Chinese bird cage aesthetics for contemporary living spaces. This sophisticated device, designed by Sean Chen and Lotta Tu, draws its inspiration from ancient Chinese literature where JinGoo describes the melodious calls of birds, particularly orioles. The design seamlessly integrates multiple materials including ceramic, metal, wood, and plastic to create a harmonious blend of form and function. The main body features a meticulously crafted ceramic bird, produced through precision molding and traditional kiln firing in Yingge, with decorative patterns applied through an intricate ceramic decal technique. The base structure, constructed from either Teak or Taiwan Acacia wood, houses a sophisticated mono 2-way speaker system comprising a 45mm woofer and a 23.5mm tweeter, with the ceramic bird's tail ingeniously designed to reflect and enhance sound waves for optimal acoustic performance. The device's technical specifications include Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a frequency response range of 20Hz to 20kHz, and a powerful 4800mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery providing over 15 hours of continuous operation. Measuring 180mm x 180mm x 280mm, this portable audio-visual piece exemplifies the successful marriage of traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category for its innovative approach to combining ambient lighting with high-quality audio reproduction. The design philosophy behind JinGoo reflects a deep understanding of traditional Chinese culture, where bird keeping and appreciation of their songs were integral to a leisurely lifestyle, reimagined for contemporary urban dwellers seeking moments of tranquility in their fast-paced lives.
