Jiangwan Yipin Residence

Jiangwan Yipin Residence

Jiangwan Yipin Residence is an exemplary residential interior design project spanning 190 square meters, distinguished by its sophisticated minimalist aesthetic and thoughtful spatial composition. Located in Nanning, China, this contemporary living space, completed in 2021 by designer Denver Hsu, masterfully integrates natural materials with modern design elements to create a harmonious living environment. The design philosophy centers on the principle that great truths are inherently simple, manifesting in a carefully curated space that combines khaki sofas, natural wood elements, and matte black steel accents with gray rock board surfaces. The residence features innovative architectural details, including built-in skirting lines, ceiling treatments, and concave seams that create intimate spatial experiences. A significant design element is the extensive use of baking lacquer board that seamlessly connects the ceiling and floor, enhancing spatial transparency while creating dynamic interactions with natural light. The kitchen area demonstrates meticulous attention to detail through its minimalist matt black steel wall, gray cabinetry, and dark steel-gray countertops, establishing clear functional zones within the open plan layout. The project, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in residential interior design through its flowing lines, exquisite natural textures, clean color palette, and minimalist decorative elements, successfully achieving a harmonious trinity of time, space, and material expression.
