Japanese Armor
Japanese armor, also known as samurai armor, refers to the protective gear worn by samurai warriors in feudal Japan. It was developed over centuries of warfare and was designed to provide maximum protection while allowing for ease of movement. The armor was made from a variety of materials, including leather, iron, and silk, and was often decorated with intricate designs and symbols that represented the wearer's clan or rank. One of the most distinctive features of Japanese armor is the helmet, or kabuto, which was often adorned with elaborate crests and horns. The face mask, or mempo, was another important component of the armor and was designed to protect the samurai's face while allowing for maximum visibility. The body armor, or dou, was made up of several plates that were laced together with silk cords and could be adjusted to fit the wearer's body. In addition to providing protection in battle, Japanese armor was also a symbol of status and power. The most elaborate suits of armor were reserved for high-ranking samurai and were often passed down through generations of a family. The armor was also a canvas for artistic expression, with skilled craftsmen creating intricate designs and patterns that were both beautiful and functional. Despite its effectiveness, Japanese armor began to fall out of use in the late 19th century with the modernization of Japan's military. Today, examples of Japanese armor can be found in museums and private collections around the world, serving as a reminder of the country's rich cultural heritage and martial traditions.

Typically, character armor is composed of pieces of armor, such as helmets, breastplates and gauntlets, combined with more traditional elements of kimono design. This often includes elements such as furisode, obi and hakama. The choice of colors and patterns used in the character's armor can also play a role in expressing their personality.
