Izhiman Premier Apothecary Shop is an innovative retail interior design project that masterfully blends contemporary luxury with functional sophistication, completed in 2017 in Amman, Jordan. This architectural masterpiece, designed by Emad Salameh, represents a significant evolution in commercial retail spaces, particularly in the apothecary and specialty coffee sector. The design philosophy centers on creating a harmonious marriage of premium materials, including Calcutta marble, American walnut wood, oak wood, and precision-crafted acrylic elements, each carefully selected to enhance specific display areas and product presentations. The space features a striking double-volume entrance adorned with geometric lighting elements, creating a signature aesthetic that bridges traditional luxury with modern design sensibilities. Notable technical achievements include the innovative solution for curved corner implementation using 5-centimeter vertical strips of Calcutta Laminam in the main counter design, complemented by ivory corian and black ceramic tiles. The interior layout demonstrates exceptional space optimization, with customized display units specifically designed for various product categories including dried fruits, seeds, spices, and specialty coffee products. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category showcases remarkable attention to detail in its zoning strategy and material application, effectively creating distinct experiential areas while maintaining a cohesive design language throughout the space.
