Interdependence Poster Design

Interdependence Poster Design

Interdependence Poster Design is a compelling social design work that explores the critical relationship between human actions and environmental consequences, specifically addressing the interconnection between wildlife consumption and public health. Created by Chinese designer Haitao Song in early 2020, this poster design employs sophisticated visual metaphors to illustrate the complex relationship between human behavior and environmental impact. The design features a striking composition that juxtaposes a deceased wild animal with an infected human lung, connected through a network of vessel-like structures resembling tree branches, symbolizing the shared destiny between humanity and nature. Measuring 70cm x 50cm, this public service advertisement utilizes powerful imagery to convey its message about wildlife protection and public health awareness. The design's innovative approach combines medical imagery with environmental advocacy, creating a thought-provoking visual narrative that emphasizes the consequences of wildlife consumption. The work demonstrates exceptional creative execution through its seamless integration of scientific accuracy and artistic expression, particularly in its representation of the coronavirus's impact on both wildlife and human health. This social design project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Social Design category, effectively communicates its message through careful attention to detail and symbolic representation. The design's significance lies in its ability to address contemporary global challenges while promoting environmental consciousness and public health awareness, making it a notable contribution to both social design and public health communication fields.
