Infinity Interior Element is an innovative architectural installation that revolutionizes the concept of interior wall panels through its dynamic, fluid design. Created by Cozi Studio, this sophisticated piece transforms pressed wood into a mesmerizing sculptural element that appears to float effortlessly through space. The installation consists of numerous precisely engineered wooden components, utilizing only two different basic shapes that are ingeniously combined in various orientations to create a continuous, organic form. Suspended from the ceiling by ultra-thin 1mm metal wires, the structure extends an impressive 10.5 meters from the wall and hovers 4 meters above the floor, covering approximately 4 meters in width. The design's technical sophistication is evident in its construction methodology, which began with a hand-crafted model that was 3D scanned to maintain its artisanal quality while enabling precise digital refinement. Each component, measuring 1 meter in length and 6mm in thickness, is crafted from pressed wood veneers using CNC-milled molds, creating a harmonious balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing techniques. The installation, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Fine Arts and Art Installation Design category, draws inspiration from the ethereal movement of confetti paper rolls in flight and has been likened to a frozen moment in a ribbon gymnast's performance. The juxtaposition of the dynamic, flowing form against the classical elegance of pressed wood creates a compelling visual narrative that challenges traditional perceptions of interior architectural elements. This groundbreaking design, completed between February and April 2021, demonstrates exceptional innovation in both concept and execution, offering viewers an immersive experience as they walk beneath its intricate, seemingly endless curves.
