This meticulously crafted acrylic and brass creation, standing at 42 centimeters tall with a 10-centimeter square base, was conceptualized and executed by a collaborative team of design students under professional creative direction. The design draws profound inspiration from the metaphor of a burning torch, symbolizing enlightenment, hope, and truth, while incorporating an ascending staircase motif that represents personal and professional growth. The physical structure comprises 48 individual layers of clear acrylic, each precisely laser-cut and UV-printed with gradual color coordination, assembled around three brass core rods anchored in a Texas limestone base. This sophisticated fabrication process, completed entirely through in-house facilities, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and technical precision. The award's design philosophy emphasizes the recipient's role as both the flame and torch-bearer, guiding others through fortitude, determination, and strength. The innovative use of materials creates dynamic visual effects, with diverse color reflections varying based on viewing perspective, while the accompanying dark oak wood case, featuring a magnetic closure system, provides elegant protection and presentation.
