Ice Cave Presales Office

Ice Cave Presales Office

Ice Cave Presales Office is an innovative architectural interior space design that exemplifies the convergence of computational design and functional aesthetics, created to serve as both a presales showroom and future event hall for a commercial-recreational complex. This sophisticated space, designed by architects Omid Amini and Fatemeh Salehi Amiri, employs minimal surface logic to create an integrated mesh surface that spans the entire space, comprising 329 double-curve composite panels meticulously fabricated using three-axis CNC machinery. The design, which garnered the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, features a dynamic ceiling spanning 290 square meters over a 200-square-meter floor area, creating an immersive environment reminiscent of natural ice cave formations. The project's innovative approach to space utilization incorporates sustainable design elements, including an efficient air circulation system within the shell's intermediate space and integrated green wall sections. The interior's distinctive feature lies in its ability to transform between functions while maintaining its sculptural aesthetic, achieved through careful consideration of both fixed and mobile furniture layouts. The design successfully addresses multiple technical challenges, including climate adaptation for temperature variations up to forty degrees Celsius, fire safety requirements, and optimal natural lighting utilization through two strategic skylights. This award-winning project, completed in 2018, represents a significant advancement in exhibition space design, combining digital fabrication techniques with practical functionality to create an atmosphere that is both striking and purposeful.
