Ibis Styles Lublin Old City Lublin

Ibis Styles Lublin Old City Lublin is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies innovative storytelling through architectural space, completed in 2019 in Poland. This 370-square-meter hospitality design masterfully integrates local folklore and legends into contemporary interior spaces, creating an immersive narrative experience for visitors. The design concept revolves around six carefully selected urban legends of Lublin, translated into tangible design elements through custom-made furniture, distinctive installations, and thoughtful details that encourage exploration and discovery. Notable features include a fish stand reception area, net-inspired lighting fixtures, and a tree installation, all of which serve as physical manifestations of the city's rich storytelling heritage. The spatial organization employs sophisticated zoning techniques, utilizing floor transitions, ceiling arrangements, and specialized equipment to delineate different legendary narratives while maintaining visual cohesion through consistent material selection and design language. This innovative approach to hospitality design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, successfully balances modern comfort with cultural storytelling, creating an environment that both intrigues and welcomes guests. The project demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its execution, from the carefully crafted custom furniture to the strategic placement of legend-inspired elements throughout the space, establishing a new paradigm for narrative-driven interior design in the hospitality sector.
