HYM Seed Turntable Speaker

HYM Seed Turntable Speaker

HYM Seed Turntable Speaker is an innovative all-in-one audio device that seamlessly integrates a professional MM turntable, 70 RMS speaker system, and amplifier within a sophisticated twisted wood design. This groundbreaking music furniture piece, conceived in 2015 and completed in 2017, represents a significant advancement in vinyl playback technology by addressing traditional record player complexity through elegant integration. The design features a meticulously crafted bent wooden case formed through hot pressing techniques, incorporating complex surfaces that work in harmony with a precision-engineered three-point suspension system. This suspension mechanism utilizes four different density materials to absorb oscillations across various frequencies, ensuring stable vinyl playback even under high-power output conditions. The unit's dimensions of 380mm x 350mm x 250mm house an innovative technical architecture that maintains optimal performance while challenging conventional turntable design aesthetics. Recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Digital and Electronic Device Design category, this creation particularly addresses the growing interest in vinyl among younger audiences by offering a more accessible yet high-fidelity solution. The design's significance lies in its ability to democratize the vinyl listening experience while maintaining audiophile-grade sound quality, achieved through careful material selection and precise assembly methods that account for environmental factors such as temperature-related wood deformation.
