Hush Residence

Hush Residence

Hush Residence is an innovative interior design project completed in June 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan, encompassing 135 square meters of thoughtfully crafted space that masterfully balances urban sophistication with tranquil sanctuary elements. The design concept ingeniously pieces together the city's architectural vernacular through deliberate block arrangements, featuring a distinctive entrance adorned with antique oil painting lacquered wood and gray glass that preserves the building's historical character. The interior space demonstrates exceptional attention to architectural preservation, with original beams and pillars receiving subtle modifications that celebrate the authentic stack of slabs and bricks. The design incorporates sustainable elements throughout, including Portuguese cork on the main visual LOGO wall, creating an engaging layered effect through varied sizing and three-color linear arrangements. A central pillar, positioned along the main circulation path, is innovatively encased in reinforced transparent glass, serving both safety and aesthetic purposes. The space features a sophisticated long bar counter complemented by a display wine rack, enhanced by linear lighting that establishes the spatial core. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and sustainable design practices. The project's intelligent lighting system adapts to temporal and environmental requirements, demonstrating a commitment to energy efficiency, while French eco-friendly super wear-resistant tiles, manufactured from recyclable wood, minimize material waste and environmental impact.
