House Of The Mystic Art Private Residence

House Of The Mystic Art Private Residence

House of the Mystic Art Private Residence is an innovative interior design project completed in Taipei, Taiwan, that masterfully transforms a three-decade-old apartment into a multifunctional space serving both as a private residence and a professional broadcasting studio. The 152-square-meter residence, designed by Ling-Fang Huang and completed in 2019, demonstrates exceptional spatial optimization despite significant structural constraints, including a challenging ceiling height of 2.13 meters under the beams. The renovation project showcases a sophisticated integration of professional and personal spaces, incorporating elements such as mineral paint, metal members, stone, wood, stainless steel, traditional Japanese tatami, tile, glass, carpet, and strategic placement of indoor plants. The design successfully addresses the dual requirements of the owner, a prominent Taiwanese astrologist who conducts live-streamed horoscope talk shows with celebrity guests from the residence. Through careful structural assessment and innovative ceiling design solutions, the project overcomes the inherent limitations of the original space, creating varying height levels that enhance the visual experience while improving natural lighting and circulation patterns. The comprehensive renovation process, which spanned from July 2018 to April 2019, included structural reinforcement, floor plan optimization, and meticulous material selection, resulting in a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics. This exceptional transformation earned the project a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to residential interior design innovation.
