House Of Joy Residential Design

House of Joy Residential Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of human and pet-centric living spaces, completed in 2022 in Ankara, Turkey. Located on the 21st floor of a prominent residential building, this 165-square-meter apartment masterfully combines functionality with aesthetic appeal through its thoughtful division into three distinct volumes: a central living area incorporating kitchen and home office spaces, private quarters featuring two bedrooms and bathrooms, and a terrace quarter hosting outdoor spaces, dining room, and library. The design, created by Asim Yuksel, demonstrates exceptional consideration for both human comfort and feline accommodation, featuring custom-made furniture with integrated pet amenities such as food containers and litter boxes, alongside a specialized cat playground and climbing area within the TV unit. The project's distinctive aesthetic is characterized by amorphous lines, white tones, and pastel colors, complemented by wood textures, systematic cabinetry, and linear lighting solutions. The designer's innovative approach to space optimization included the reconstruction of walls and ceilings to enhance spatial perception and functionality, while the integration of high-end design elements from select manufacturers contributes to the project's sophisticated ambiance. This pet-friendly residential design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in creating modern living spaces that cater to the unique lifestyle requirements of contemporary urban dwellers and their animal companions.
