Horizon Welcome Tray

Horizon Welcome Tray is an innovative hospitality product that reimagines the traditional hotel welcome tray through sustainable materials and enhanced functionality, designed by Levent Muslular and Berkehan Köseoğlu. This sophisticated piece of tableware, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, represents a significant advancement in hotel amenity design through its thoughtful integration of form and function. Measuring 520mm x 260mm x 300mm and weighing 2kg, the tray features a distinctive vertical wall design that incorporates an innovative glass storage solution, effectively protecting vessels from dust accumulation while maintaining an elegant aesthetic. The design employs carefully joined plywood plates for its main structure, complemented by glass tubes and aluminum mats, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability while maintaining premium quality. A notable feature is its unique tea and coffee brewing system, utilizing glass tubes that allow guests to customize their beverage strength, representing a departure from conventional brewing methods. The tray includes specialized components such as multiple infusers, a dedicated space for used brewing implements, and a sugar jar, all thoughtfully arranged to optimize user experience. The design's durability is ensured through a water-resistant matte varnish coating, making it both practical for daily use and easy to maintain. Developed between March 2017 and January 2018 in Ankara, this welcome tray not only serves its primary function but also aspires to create such an impressive experience that hotel guests might desire to incorporate similar design elements into their personal living spaces.
