HONOR OF CHINA Sales Center Sales Center is an architecturally innovative commercial structure that exemplifies contemporary design principles while maintaining cultural sensitivity, completed in 2018 in Nanjing, China. This remarkable two-floor edifice, spanning 2,700 square meters, masterfully addresses the challenge of creating visual impact within spatial constraints through its distinctive cantilever design. The structure's architectural composition demonstrates a sophisticated interplay between materials, featuring a transparent glass ground floor that contrasts dramatically with the substantial stone elements of the upper level, creating an illusion of floating mass. The design's cultural resonance is evident in its thoughtful references to local heritage, with stone elements evoking the Ming City Wall and a carefully integrated waterway symbolizing the Qinhuai River. The building's facade employs three different stone treatment mechanisms to create a dynamic, rippled surface texture that interacts with natural and artificial lighting to produce varying visual effects throughout the day. The interior design incorporates a U-glass atrium that facilitates natural light penetration, while the exterior features two concavo-convex stone walls that create a transitional space between the street and the building's interior. This innovative architectural solution, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, successfully balances aesthetic ambition with urban integration, creating a landmark that serves both commercial and cultural purposes while maintaining a harmonious relationship with its surroundings.
