HongXin Office
HongXin Office is an award-winning interior design project completed in Shanghai in 2017, exemplifying a harmonious fusion of Oriental cultural elements with contemporary design aesthetics. The 280-square-meter office space, designed by Xiaorui Zhou, masterfully integrates traditional Chinese landscape elements within a modern architectural framework, creating a sophisticated professional environment that honors cultural heritage while embracing international design principles. The space features a thoughtfully curated material palette of white-gray marble and rice-grey finishes, complemented by mahogany furniture that introduces historical depth and embodies the Taoist principle of balance between rigidity and softness. The layout, inspired by Wang Xizhi's Orchid Pavilion, employs an innovative axial design that accommodates seven workstations arranged to evoke the imagery of small boats floating freely on a river. The entrance is distinguished by a customized landscape painting that communicates the enterprise's philosophy of honesty and faith, while the corporate logo is presented in a traditional seal style above the reception desk. This exceptional design, which garnered an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2019, successfully creates an atmosphere that facilitates professional discourse while maintaining a deep connection to Chinese cultural values, demonstrating how contemporary office design can effectively balance functionality with cultural authenticity.
