Hongkan Lingshijun Pulin Type-C Villa Villa
Hongkan Lingshijun Pulin Type-C Villa Villa is a distinguished residential interior design project located in Tianjin, China, encompassing 600 square meters of living space that masterfully integrates traditional Chinese architectural elements with contemporary design sensibilities. The villa's design philosophy centers on the concept of Dhyana, emphasizing meditation, tranquility, and the delicate balance between tangible and intangible spaces. Created by designers Yi Chen and Muchen Zhang, graduates of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, the project is notable for its innovative use of traditional movable wooden screens, which serve as the primary visual elements connecting the space to Chinese cultural heritage. The screens, derived from intensive research of traditional decorative patterns, create a sophisticated interplay between virtual and tangible spaces, reflecting the fundamental principles of Chinese scenery theory. The four-floor structure features an interconnected yet independent spatial arrangement, where each level maintains visual connectivity while preserving individual privacy. The design incorporates natural elements such as rocks, still water, and carefully crafted scenery corners, reminiscent of traditional Chinese landscape paintings. The villa's aesthetic is characterized by simple, straight modeling lines and pastel neutral colors that convey elegance and natural delicacy. This Gold A' Design Award-winning project demonstrates exceptional achievement in interior space design through its thoughtful integration of room-high wooden screens that extend to the second floor, creating an all-surrounded courtyard reminiscent of traditional Chinese mansions. The design's sophisticated approach to cultural sustainability and spatial articulation has established new benchmarks in contemporary Chinese residential architecture.
