Hong Kong Book Fair 2022 Public Exhibition is a significant cultural event design that transformed the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre into an immersive literary experience spanning 55,100 square meters. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning exhibition, designed by Dury Chin, masterfully integrated three distinct zones - City Literature, Hong Kong Architecture, and Taste of Hong Kong - into a cohesive cultural journey that celebrated local heritage and literary traditions. The exhibition's innovative design approach incorporated dynamic elements such as rotatable book stands, transparent reflective planes, and interactive displays, all unified under the theme Inspirational and Motivational Reading. The spatial design utilized sophisticated aluminum structure frames with polycarbonate and glass finishes, creating an elegant museum-like atmosphere that housed more than 700 exhibitors. The exhibition's thoughtful layout featured a harmonious blend of descriptive panels, semi-transparent displays of architectural photography, and carefully curated cultural artifacts, while maintaining sustainable practices through the use of biodegradable materials and reusable structures. This seven-day cultural celebration represented a significant milestone as the first large-scale event of 2022, demonstrating exceptional space utilization and visitor flow management through its carefully orchestrated 47-meter-long Art Gallery section and complementary architectural zones, each maintaining a consistent height of 2.5 meters to ensure visual coherence throughout the space.
