Home L Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies minimalist aesthetics and functional sophistication through its thoughtful spatial organization and material selection. The design, completed in Hong Kong in 2017, showcases a harmonious blend of wooden elements and concrete finishes, creating a clean and contemporary living environment. At its core, the design features a central wooden television console with innovative vertical wooden strips serving as discrete handles for sliding doors, demonstrating both aesthetic refinement and practical functionality. A distinctive house-shaped wooden frame serves as an architectural element above the dining area, effectively demarcating spaces while maintaining visual continuity. The project's material palette primarily consists of concrete and plywood with wood veneer, creating a natural, unfinished aesthetic that embodies the less is more philosophy. Notable design solutions include a concrete-finished waist-high bench integrated into the wall, complemented by natural oak chairs and thoughtfully placed lighting fixtures. The master bedroom features a sophisticated solution for structural challenges, incorporating a sloping concrete-finished ceiling and a double-level platform bed that maximizes storage space while maintaining aesthetic cohesion. The design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material integration, and innovative approach to contemporary living spaces.
