Hoist Bottle

Hoist Bottle

Hoist Bottle is an innovative isotonic beverage container that exemplifies the convergence of functional design and athletic aesthetics in contemporary packaging design. This structurally sophisticated bottle, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, represents a significant advancement in sports beverage packaging through its thoughtful integration of form and function. The design, conceived by Damien Moyal and team, features a svelte, gender-neutral silhouette that communicates fitness and movement through its organic forms inspired by human physiology, particularly the muscular system during active states. Manufactured using Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) process with PET material, the bottle measures 67mm in diameter and 191mm in height, incorporating discreet panels that accommodate potential future hot-filling processes through controlled deformation. The design successfully addresses the challenge of creating a cost-effective, technically viable solution while maintaining strong shelf presence in the competitive sports beverage market. Its development involved comprehensive research including competitive set analysis and focus group testing, resulting in a design that effectively bridges the gap between medical efficacy and consumer appeal. The bottle's innovative structure not only enhances the brand's market position but also demonstrates forward-thinking engineering through its anticipatory design features for future manufacturing processes.
