Hillside Logo And VI

Hillside Logo And VI

Hillside Logo and VI is a sophisticated visual identity system that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of environmental consciousness with contemporary design aesthetics. Created by Chinese designer Chao Tan, this visual communication project masterfully integrates the symbolic representation of hills and bamboo leaves to convey the core concept of ecological symbiosis. The design, which garnered a Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category in 2019, demonstrates exceptional attention to the balance between extrinsic fashion appeal and intrinsic oriental cultural values. The logo's composition cleverly incorporates contrasting colors to emphasize both technological advancement and modern fashion sensibilities while maintaining its environmental message. The visual identity system was conceptualized to appeal to young urban consumers while promoting environmental sustainability, particularly highlighting the sustainable bamboo harvesting practices in Sichuan. The design's auxiliary graphics system allows for flexible application across various products and packaging materials, enhancing brand recognition and memorability. This comprehensive visual identity solution effectively communicates the brand's commitment to ecological preservation while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic that resonates with its target demographic. The project, completed between April and June 2017 in Shanghai, represents a significant achievement in sustainable brand identity design, showcasing how visual communication can effectively bridge traditional environmental values with modern consumer expectations.
